Restore real gloss and clarity to your paint

PAINT CORRECTION
Denver, CO //

Over time, every finish loses its depth. Automated car washes leave spider-web swirls, the Colorado sun oxidizes and dulls the clear coat, and everyday wear leaves fine scratches that catch the light.

Paint correction removes those defects at the source rather than hiding them, bringing back the sharp, wet-looking reflection your paint had when it was new.

We level a microscopic amount of clear coat to erase the imperfections, refining the surface back to a mirror finish. Done properly, it is the single biggest visual transformation you can make to a car without repainting it.

WHAT IS PAINT CORRECTION & WHY DOES IT MATTER //

Your paint is layered: Primer and color coat underneath, a protective clear coat on top. Almost every swirl and light scratch you see lives in that clear coat, not the color. Correction uses a machine polisher and graded compounds to remove a controlled, tiny amount of clear coat, taking the defect down with it, polishing the surface back to full clarity.

That's why correction is permanent in a way that a wax or "polish in a bottle" never is. Fillers and glazes temporarily mask swirls and wash out within weeks. Correction removes them. It is also why it takes skill: too aggressive and you thin the clear coat needlessly, too light and the defects stay. The judgment of an experienced hand is the whole job.

Correction removes defects; it does not add material. Very deep scratches that have gone through the clear coat into the color cannot be fully polished out, and we will always tell you honestly what is realistic for your paint before we start.

SINGLE STAGE VS. MULTI STAGE CORRECTION //

Not every car needs the same level of work. We assess your paint and recommend the level that fits its condition and your goals, so you are never paying for work your finish does not need.

01 //

SINGLE-STAGE CORRECTION

Best for removing light swirl marks, reducing the appearance of finer defects, and restoring a glossy, reflective shine.

Removes light surface imperfections and brings back depth. It is the right choice for newer cars, well-kept daily drivers, and anyone who wants a clear step up in gloss without full multi-stage work.

02 //

MULTI -STAGE CORRECTION

Best for more damaged or neglected paintwork, removing heavier defects, and restoring paint toward factory condition. This uses a higher-precision cutting stage followed by one or more refining stages to work out heavier oxidation, marring, and deeper swirls.

It is meticulous and time-intensive, and it delivers the most complete transformation we offer short of a repaint.

WHAT YOUR CORRECTION INCLUDES //

Every correction is a full process, not just time on the polisher. The prep work is what makes the polishing last.

IS IT THE RIGHT TIME FOR PAINT CORRECTION? //

Not sure whether Paint Correction is actually the thing your car needs?
There are two quick reliable ways to test whether its worth bringing it into our studio:

THE FLASHLIGHT TEST

Grab a flashlight, or use your phone's torch.

Find a relatively clean area of paintwork, and shine the torch over it. What do you see?

If it's a glossy finish with no marks you're all good! If you see swirls or which marks reflecting back at you though, that's a good sign your paint is damaged.

THE HAND TEST

Make sure your car is relatively clean and free from debris. Then, simply run your hand over the paintwork and pay attention to the feeling and the sound. Does it glide over without resistance? Or does it feel rough and gritty?

What sort of noise does it make? If you can hear a "gritty" sound as if you're rubbing sandpaper over it, that means your paint is damaged and needs correction.

I’ve brought two cars to Aiden for polishing, paint correction and ceramic coating, couldn’t recommend him enough. Great work and is honest about what the car does and doesn’t need, not trying to upsell on things that would be unnecessary. Paint is always buttery smooth after and water simply slides off with ceramic coatings. Any cars I get in the future will be paint corrected here!

I brought my Model X to Spectrum Auto Studio for paint correction and ceramic coating. The car had a lot of scratches and overspray when I dropped it off, and I wasn’t sure how much could really be fixed. They took the time to explain everything and made me feel confident in the process.

DENVER PAINT CORRECTION FAQS //

YOUR Questions Answered

  • How long does paint correction last?

The correction itself is permanent, because the defects are physically removed rather than filled. The finish stays flawless as long as you avoid reintroducing swirls through harsh washing. Pairing correction with a ceramic coating protects the result and makes maintenance far easier, which is why we usually recommend the two together.

  • Will correction remove every scratch?

It removes anything living in the clear coat, which is the large majority of swirls and light scratches. Deep scratches that have cut through the clear coat into the color coat cannot be fully polished out without touch-up or paint. We assess your paint honestly up front and tell you exactly what is achievable before any work begins.

  • Do I need single-stage or multi-stage?

It depends on how much defect your paint carries. Newer or well-kept cars usually need only single-stage to restore gloss, while neglected or heavily swirled paint benefits from multi-stage. We inspect the paint in person and recommend the level that fits, so you never pay for more than your car needs.

  • Should I get correction before a ceramic coating?

Yes, always. A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, so coating over swirls and oxidation seals the defects in place. Correcting first means you are protecting a flawless finish, which is the entire point of a premium coating.

  • How much does paint correction cost?

Pricing depends on your vehicle's size and the condition of the paint, since that determines whether single-stage or multi-stage is right. Send us your vehicle details for a tailored quote the same day.
